Harry Truman from Missouri, was a different kind of President. He probably made as many important decisions regarding our nation’s history as any of the other 42 Presidents. However, a measure of his greatness may rest on what he did after he left the White House.
Historians have written the only asset he had when he died was the house he lived in, which was in Independence, Missouri. The only reason he had that house was his wife inherited it from her Mother.
When he retired from office in 1952, his income was a U.S. Army pension reported to have been $13,507.72 a year. Congress, noting that he was paying for his stamps and personally licking them, granted him an ‘allowance’ and later a retroactive pension of $25,000 per year.
After President Eisenhower was inaugurated, Harry and Bess drove home to Missouri by themselves. There were no Secret Service following them.
When offered corporate positions at large salaries, he declined, stating, “You don’t want me. You want the office of the President, and that doesn’t belong to me. It belongs to the American people and it’s not for sale.”
Even later, on May 6, 1971, when Congress was preparing to award him the Medal of Honor on his 87th birthday, he refused to accept it, writing, “I don’t consider that I have done anything which should be the reason for any award, Congressional or otherwise.”
Modern politicians have found a new level of success in cashing in on the Presidency, resulting in untold wealth. Today, many in Congress also have found a way to become quite wealthy while enjoying the fruits of their offices. It appears now that political offices are now for sale.
Good old Harry Truman was correct when he observed, “My choices early in life were either to be a piano player in a whorehouse or a politician and to tell the truth, there’s hardly any difference.”
Let’s be clear about this, there were plenty of unscrupulous polititians in those days but Harry Truman was definitely a diamond in the rough.
Too bad there are not more like him in politics today!

This article is written by an in-house Clickbank expert. Who better to provide the key tips to ensuring your product is approved than one of ClickBank’s senior security representatives, Melissa Meck?
Making Sure Your CB Product is Approved
by Melissa Meck
Do you have a digital product that you’re interested in offering through ClickBank? Here are some tips on how to make certain your product is approved as quickly as possible!
Tip 1: Ensure Your CB Product is Within Our Guidelines
Make sure you review and apply the information found on our getting started page. This page provides information on our forbidden activity policies, product requirements, and how to get your product ready for approval before you submit it to ClickBank’s Review Team.
Tip 2: Make Certain Customers Know How to Contact You
Be sure to provide your contact information on your Publisher’s Pitch Page URL. This could be in the form of an e-mail address, phone number, mailing address, or a “contact us,” page. In addition, you must display your contact information on your Thank You Page as well. Display your email address so that you can provide technical support if the customer has questions about the product they purchased. Do not simply make a clickable email image or button. You must actually display your email address visibly so that the customer can see it.
Tip 3: Ensure Your Refund Policy Meets Our Guidelines
If you choose to include a refund policy on your site, please make sure your stated policy is in full compliance with that of ClickBank.com. Your policy should give customers the opportunity to request a refund at any time within 8 weeks (56 days) of purchase. Your refund policy cannot be shorter or longer than our 8 week/56 day time period, and you cannot set conditions that customers must meet in order to receive a refund.
Tip 4: Remind Customers that ClickBank is the Merchant
Remind customers on your Thank You Page that their purchase was processed by ClickBank by adding this statement, “Your billing statement will show a charge from CLKBANK*COM.” Reminding customers what their credit card statement will say can help reduce your refund and chargeback rate.
By following these simple tips, you can steer clear of the most common mistakes made when products are submitted to ClickBank for review. Avoid them and ensure your digital product will be up, running, and ready for affiliates to promote ASAP! That’s how you get your CB product approved.

Working people frequently ask retired people what they do to make their days interesting.
Well, for example, the other day I went downtown and into a shop. I was only there for about 5 minutes and when I came out there was a cop writing out a parking ticket. I said to him, “Come on, man, how about giving a retired person a break?”
He ignored me and continued writing the ticket. I called him a “Nazi.” He glared at me and wrote another ticket for having worn tires. So I called him a “doughnut eating Gestapo.” He finished the second ticket and put it on the windshield with the first. Then he wrote a third ticket.
This went on for about 20 minutes. The more I abused him the more tickets he wrote.
Personally, I didn’t care. I came downtown on the bus and the car that he was putting the tickets on had a bumper sticker that said “Hillary in ‘08.”
I try to have a little fun each day now that I am retired. It’s
important to my health.

How Do I Select A Product In The Clickbank Marketplace?
To select a Clickbank product that can really make you some money is a real challenge. Any publisher can add their product to the Clickbank Marketplace, so there are a lot of lower quality products that have a high refund rate. We must be able to weed out these low quality products and find only products that give us an above average opportunity to make a sale.
Clickbank affiliates earn a percentage of every purchase made by every customer they refer to any [tec-tag]Clickbank product[/tec-tag]. And the Clickbank marketplace is where affiliates go to select Clickbank products they will promote and try to sell.
Clickbank has it’s own Catalog search Tool but you have to know what your looking for to use the keyword function. I don’t think it does much good for finding Clickbank products that are unknown to you.
